Binghamton Food Rescue is a volunteer-based organization located in Binghamton, New York. We are committed to mitigating food waste, improving access to nutritious food, and promoting both a sustainable and equitable food system. Local farmers and businesses donate excess produce/food that we then distribute directly to our community.

Our small volunteer-based structure allows us the flexibility to adapt and fill changing community needs that larger food pantries and distribution sites may miss. While we strive to distribute all food on the same day it is rescued, left-over foods are taken to local food pantries or kitchens for use the next day.
In addition to our Saturday food distribution, every week a volunteer chef cooks over 40 meals for people who are currently in emergency housing through DSS. These meals are delivered along with other essential items such as hygiene products and clothing.
