We provide rescued food from local farmers markets at no cost to individuals and organizations that would otherwise not have access to enough healthy, affordable food. Our distribution sites are located at community centers, public parks, and other accessible locations in the Binghamton area.
40% of food in the US is wasted across the entire food production chain from on the farm, to in the home, and everywhere else in-between (NRDC 2017). While excess food is being wasted, there are individuals and families in our neighborhoods that have limited access to fresh, healthy foods. We are dedicated to combating food waste and strengthen our community by connecting people to good food they need that would otherwise be sent to the landfill or composted.
